Non-prescription & Sunglass lenses

We use only prescription quality lenses for clear and sunglass lenses. We can custom make almost any sunglass lens type, including high-end lenses like the polarized rose and amber double-mirror-gradient high contrast lenses produced by the top sunglass manufacturers.

Filling eyeglass prescriptions online...

To fill prescriptions, we need a copy of your eyeglass prescription, including the pupillary distance (known as "P.D."). You can email it to us at
MyRx@ClearlightOptical.com fax it to 541-552-0545, or mail it to:

Clearlight Optical
165 Water St.
Ashland, OR 97520
Attn: LAB

*We do not sell mutli-focal lenses online. It is really lucrative, but the chances of producing less than the best product is high if we can't measure the relationship between your eyes and the frame first hand. So, we'll pass on multifocals (bifocals, trifocals, progressives), unless you want to come visit us - in which case we will be happy to make you lenses. Same goes for high prescriptions.
Subtle differences in head position, frame angle, and other considerations can make all the difference in these types of prescriptions. You will get a potentially much better result with these types if you have the work done locally.

We have put together a U.S. directory of eyecare professionals who are happy to work on vintage eyewear. You can reach our vintage opticians directory HERE. You can also add your own favorite eye doctor or optician.

In general, our prescription services online are a convenience for when you can't find someone to do it locally, or when you are more comfortable having people familiar with the frame work on it. Many chain stores won't touch our frames (or any frame that is not theirs), but independent Opticians and Optometrists who run their own labs are usually happy to.

Rx LIMITS - We will accept orders online for non-prescription lenses, spherical lenses from +3.00 to -4.00 and cylinders from -0.25 to -2.00.
